Methodology and notes

  • A loan isn't revenue: anything that comes in marked as a loan (e.g. a Stripe/bank loan) sits in its own Financing group, separate from Revenue in the detailed ledger. None of the revenue, EBITDA, or margin KPIs include it - only the "Total cash change" line at the bottom of the ledger adds everything together, to show the period's real cash movement.
  • Sales tax: the reserve applies 9.75% to the portion of deposits and repairs marked "(9.75%)" in the Monefy statement itself. It's an estimate - check with your accountant on whether that's the right rate for your jurisdiction/county, and whether it should apply to the amount received or be calculated tax-inclusive.
  • EBITDA: a cash-basis approximation (operating revenue received - expenses paid in the period), since the statement doesn't separate out interest or carry depreciation/amortization lines, and doesn't count loan proceeds as revenue.
  • Repairs: the "Repairs" category has positive values (shop service revenue), so it's counted as revenue, not an expense.
  • Payroll: mixes staff payroll and owner draws - separated out in "Payroll & withdrawals" so it doesn't distort the real cost of the team. Sales commission is kept out of that section, as its own expense line in the detailed ledger.
  • Accounts receivable: reported manually by Lucas at month-end, not derived from the Monefy export.
  • Cash position: also reported manually by Lucas, not derived from the export - his combined Bank + Cash balance from Monefy plus whatever's sitting in Stripe not yet transferred to the bank. None of it is captured by the transaction export itself (Monefy's own account balance carries a history from before this period, and the Stripe balance never lands in Monefy at all until it's paid out).
  • Bank reconciliation: also reported manually, from the actual bank statement for the month - compared against the Monefy-derived total cash change (revenue + financing - expenses) for that same period, since that's what should match real account activity.
  • Months: each tab above is a separate period, rebuilt from whatever Monefy export (and, once sent, bank statement) covers it. A month with no dot hasn't been sent yet.
